Frollen Music Library
Golden
Frollen Music Library are back with Golden, a collection of 15 compositions that delve into the darker and colder side of golden era East Coast Hip Hop instrumentals. Exploring a diverse palette of sounds, ‘Golden’ takes its cues from the off-kilter, disjointed yet boombap productions from New York’s hip hop royalty. An interplay of tension and release through dissonant layering, subtle atonality and melodic resolve, the exceptional musicianship of the FML house band shines through, effortlessly navigating various moods and dynamics.
Golden showcases an impressive ensemble of instruments, including the Rhodes, Solina String Ensemble, Upright Piano, 60s Harmony guitars, Vintage P-Bass, Vibraphone, Kangaroo-Hide drums, and more. Every sound has been meticulously captured using Langevin and Flickenger style preamps and vintage microphones, guaranteeing pristine audio quality. All compositions are BPM labeled, performed and recorded on real instruments, and mixed down to 1/4" tape, allowing for seamless integration into your next production!
